Position Summary:
The Quality Inspector ensures compliance with quality procedures and product specifications, providing support to manufacturing by resolving quality issues and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. Work is performed in warehouse, office, and controlled environments.
Essential Functions:
- Inspect incoming materials for compliance with design and regulatory standards.
- Follow quality system procedures and maintain inspection records.
- Work independently to complete tasks within set timelines.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors in English.
- Read and interpret design data, GD&T, and product specifications.
- Conduct in-process inspections and ensure proper self-checking by operators and machinists.
- Review supplier data for compliance with quality standards.
- Operate and maintain measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment (optional).
- Calibrate test equipment and maintain MS Office proficiency.
- Use ERP systems and office machines.
- Maintain a clean work area and assist with other tasks as needed.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- 3-5 years of machine shop quality/inspection experience preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Regular talking/hearing, handling tools, and occasional lifting (up to 75 lbs).
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
- Moderate noise level.
